When we received the call from The Butchers Block in Dry Fork Virginia.  Little did we know the extensive water damage that had occurred over the years.  The owners had an idea that there may be some issues due to multiple leaks.  In their business you can’t have these water leaks!

After inspection we noticed quite a bit of deterioration of the existing roof and decided that this needed immediate attention.  We got to work right away.  Then we discovered what they had been dreading.  Rotting and damaged structural roof decking.

There are strict requirements by the USDA on food processing and the roof was absolutely a major issue to protect all the meat that was being processed.  We were able to remove the rotted and damaged  wood  and installed new Insulation & a new TPO Roof Membrane System by Elevate (Holcum) Roof product (Formerly Firestone Roofing products).

This new roof system not only provides Waterproofing of the facility below it.  It also provides a huge boost to the energy efficiency of the building.  Sound proofing, Waterproofing, Energy Efficiency, and long term savings!  What more could you ask for?  Less wear and tear on the HVAC system is always a bonus!  Shelter Construction Services replaced the old commercial roof with a new TPO System.  The Roof System is a number of components coming together to provide a long term waterproofing solution for The Butchers Block.

Shelter Construction Services also was assisted by the production of Commercial Box Gutters and Downspouts along with the Edge metals required to complete this project.  The Sheet Metal Shop in Burlington North Carolina provided some amazing workmanship to help us to complete this project.  Having the ability to produce the combination of materials, metal, and fabrication gives us a distinct advantage when completing projects like this.
