So everyone is seeing these "Metal Roofs" all over the place now. Driving down your neighborhood road you might see about 3-4 of them. One would assume that this is the way of the future. It is! However, with every good thing you still need to examine the Pro's & Con's of each Roof System. A Corrugated metal roof is what is called an "Ag Panel" Roof System. "Ag" refers to Agriculture. The only downside is you have to inspect and maintain the roof every 5 years. This is due to the screws backing out due to thermal expansion and contraction. Heating during the day and cooling at night. Flashing after installing this type of roof is critical to maintain the weathertightness. So if you are looking for a super affordable roof then this may be the one for you. Please keep in mind that you will need to do roof inspections and touch up every 5-8 years.
